She

She dug her heels in and stood firm, proud, and tall.

Confidence 6 feet high though she was only 5 feet small.

She held on to her truth with all of her might.

She held on to what’s real,

she held on so tight.

Because they tried to change her,

They tried to make her believe.

That she was no good.

But they didn’t succeed.

Her peace could not be stolen

She was stronger than they could see.

And once she figured that out,

She was finally free.
